Totara Tree!

Araiteuru (Female Taniwha)

Araiteuru.

Araiteuru is the mother/female taniwha, she is also known as the sea guardian she is also JUST the female taniwha that protects/guards the sea she used to guard the *Hokianga Harbour* but then she suddenly stopped. She also lived at the south Harbour but went somewhere else in the north harbour, and her Companion is some of Niua. 
She is also known to having Eleven kids that are exploring.

Yr 7 Next yr!

Today for our task we have done this google drawing talking about the things we want to happen Next year for the yr 6 student that is going to be a year 7 student next year stepping up to be leaders.
Here are the things that I agreed that we need to Keep, Stop, Add and why. (Question) Which part of the whare tapa wha did we strengthen on these 3 days?
Taha whanau and Taha Tinana.
I also agree the we mostly Strengthen on Taha Whanau and Taha Tinana.

Yr 7 & Yr 8 Highlights

Today the Yr 7 & Yr 8 talked about some highlights of thiers!


Yr 8 highlights from camp: There highlights were about activities, and some scary things at night time. One of their highlights were when they were communicating with each-other and getting high expectation, one them also talked about how they were scared at night time because one of there room-mates said that there was a ghost.

Yr 7 Highlights (Step up): One of there highlights were when they were one of the prefects and also stepping up and being leaders to the school & also Growing Respect and Good manners, one of there highlights were also about the food/shared lunch because it was BIG and everything was so Delicious.

Last wensday there was a special meeting going on for the yr 8's in the hall because it was there time to go CAMP! while they were there at there meeting the teachers were putting there baggage into the bus so it would be ready faster and being able to go faster and easier. the yr 7's were all ready to go to class, we also said our last goodbye's to them.


All the yr 7's did really FUN activities like : Stacking cups, cookie challenge , Sing it out, and much more.   

There were also teams/ team names, Mrs Moala's class who were group 3 ( Team Thunder) Mrs Tipene who was group 1  ( Duck life )  Mrs Ilaoa who was group 2 ( Team Strikers ) Each team had there chant ready and looks like strikers had the best one yet!

We all had competition and each teacher had to find out who's Team was the most supporting, good manners, Teamwork and the most points !

The team had thos things support, good manners, and teamwork, they were also the WINNING team, they were...... TEAM THUNDER!!

Team thunder won by (3410 Points) They got Sweet Candy to share with each other and had a good time.

On Friday it was the last day of Fun activities, we all had a BIG shared lunch full of goodies, Junk and much more!
